Contribution to climate protection
With the growing used car business, logistics-related CO2 emissions are also rising. As a company, we take responsibility and have a clear strategy: Avoid. Reduce. Contribute.
Our moorland projects
Mors store twice as much carbon as all the forests on Earth – even though they cover only 3% of the world's land area. When peatlands are drained and used for agriculture or peat extraction, large amounts of CO₂ are released into the atmosphere, accelerating climate change.
Through active water management and the application of peat moss, our project partners such as Naturschutzbund Deutschland e.V. (NABU) are ensuring that moors are rewetted and renaturalised.
Avoid. Reduce. Contribute.
How we take responsibility for our CO₂ emissions from logistics.
Avoid – what can be prevented.
Every journey that does not take place is a win for the climate. We organise our transport so that unnecessary journeys do not arise in the first place. This is an important step in preventing emissions from occurring.
Reduce – Reduce what remains necessary.
Where transport is necessary, we make it as efficient as possible. Together with our logistics partners, we have committed ourselves to fewer empty runs, better capacity utilisation and optimised routes. That is responsibility in action – day after day, transport after transport.
Contribute – Make a difference where it counts.
But we know that even with the best measures in place, CO₂ emissions will continue to be produced. And this is precisely where our moorland initiative comes in. By renaturalising these areas, we are giving back to nature a small part of what has been taken from it. At the same time, we are contributing to climate protection by reducing logistics emissions in the growing used car business.
